About Shana Pote

• Professional bio: Shana Pote's eclectic background includes degrees in Restaurant Management, Information Technology and Systems Management. After rewarding careers as a restaurant manager and enterprise project/program manager, her family's escape from a house fire in 2013 catalyzed her escape from corporate life and pursuit of new adventures.

• While pursuing a Masters in Organizational Dynamics with an Executive Coaching concentration, she reinvigorated her artistic practices, weaving the expressive arts into executive coaching and creativity workshop service offerings. Insights during that journey currently fuels her pursuit of a doctorate through Fielding Graduate University.

• Academic bio: Shana's research focuses on the intersections between adult, leadership, and organizational development, arts-based self-expression, creativity, and innovation. Her current research uses mixed methods to study applied expressive arts and it's affect on creativity in adults and organizations in order to normalize right hemispheric processing in Eurocentric work cultures and inform theories of creativity and human development.

• Personal bio: In her spare time, Shana is a mixed media and fiber artist, and when not studying, is usually tatting, knitting, zentangling, or painting. Married for 36 years to her college sweetheart, she revels in having a home filled with her three children, 5 rescue cats, 2 rescue angora rabbits, and more art supplies than she could use in her lifetime.
